"I always watched Formula 1 on Sundays," the German stated on Formel1.de's YouTube channel, "and I wanted to be a Formula 1 driver as a child."
The reason? The prejudice Formula 1 and the FIA are currently hard at work to dismantle with various endeavours such as the newly created F1 Academy all-female racing series that has cemented the surge of drivers like Spanish Marta Garcia and British Abby Pulling.
"At the time, no one really took it seriously, and as a child, of course, you don't know how to get into karting. That's why it never solidified. I've never driven a kart professionally either," added Müller.
