Diner takes discrimination case against popular 777 restaurant over ‘obscenely loud’ music

Restaurant boss says €50,000 sound system at centre of equality claim ‘automatically’ gets louder on busy nights

Staff at a Dublin restaurant that is alleged to have refused to turn down its “obscenely loud” music to accommodate a hearing-impaired diner have denied that the complainant told them she had a disability.

“They didn’t care about people like me. People with disabilities do not fit their vibe and are not welcome,” Emily Brady countered at the Workplace Relations Commission in her case against popular Mexican restaurant 777.
